I've been told on occasion that I need to have an "artist's statement". That it would be helpful to be able to talk about my work. I fall into the camp of William Eggleston who said, "Whatever it is about pictures, photographs, it's just about impossible to follow up with words. They don't have anything to do with each other". Exactly.
That being said however, I'll give it a try. With regard to the Landscapes and such, I look for light (sometimes found, sometimes created), color or tones, with compositions that tend to be classical. I drive or walk until I see something that catches my eye and then I shoot it. Or I don't. I'm usually feeling cold (or hot,) tired and almost always wishing I had brought something to eat and a beer. I do that all day until it's dark, then find a motel, sleep and then get up and do it all over again.
As for the galleries other than "Landscapes" and "Other Stuff", these are collections of commercial images shot for clients between 1979-2017.
I think that's about it. (I hope it's enough...)
